It's as wide as your other ones - but I want to see the detail as on the heavy weapon hybrid at the top of page 5.

Really like this project a lot. Great combination of old miniatures, conversions, and new twists and concepts on an old theme. Great work all around.

I had never considered one of those SCW armored cars for a coven limo. Excellent idea.

Honestly, I was a little sceptical of the plans for these initially Mr S.  As it was you putting them together I knew that they would be lovingly converted and painted of course, but not whether I would warm to this particular take on the cult.  They are growing on me steadily though.

As the group comes together they are getting a little more Cronenberg, a little more body horror and the bio-science gone mad aspect appeals to me.  I like Giger as much as the next guy, but I think that your obviously mechanical, rather than biomechanical add-ons are a better choice here.

Good stuff Mr S.  Give us more.

Thanks all. I'm loving this project, it's a chance to got nuts on aspects of sci-fi that really appeal to me, and finally give the cult a go, as I've been wanting to do one for years.

I could tell, you had that look in your eye.  ;)  It's always a danger mashing two themes together. Oddly enough, these two meld most pleasingly.

The force changes a little with each model in the aesthetics I want to pronounce. I had very specific ideas on the structure of each type of hybrid, large and small initially. As bits accrue, you see things you like and so on, it leads you in it's own direction, and some ideas shrink and change, and it's best to roll with it. A little exaggeration and somewhat less subtlety suits minis at times, I think. Especially when you want two themes to be identifiable in one group of models.

I'm working on a Castellan class robot right now, to give the cult some oomph. In time he'll (and his robot brethren) will have a groovy controller magus, but one thing at a time!

The first off the assembly line is this venerable castellan. It's my favourite of the old robots, and was a real treat to paint. I've kept him in mechanicus colours, albeit somewhat tarnished and battle worn. I figure the cult isn't too big on keeping it's machines in parade condition when it's fighting for control of the cities.

Continuing on with the cult, I painted one of my all time favourite miniatures, the cult magus with scanner. He took some tracking down, but once I had this fellow it wasn't long before I had to paint him. As with many Olley sculpts he's a riot of gorgeous texture, and was a treat to paint. He painted up nicely in my adeptus mechanicus scheme.

Lovely!
That Magus is one stunning figure wearing a worthy paintjob.
 :-* :-*

I have a couple of the new FW robots and had not thought of adding them to a stealer coven.
Top idea.

That Magus is great. The figure is full of character and you've really brought it to life with a superb paintjob.

Great painting and great pairing of miniatures.

I get a kick out of seeing miniatures associated in thematic ways that may not spring immediately to mind.  This covers those bases admirably :)

That's great. The scanner combined with the robot is a nice touch.
