They also put out a blog detailing how the competitive aspect of the game will work. The fact that they are introducing competitive play is probably my least favourite part of Season 3. That being said, what is cool about it is that you can no play with up to 12 survivors, and the difficulty of the game scales with the number of survivors, which I found to be an issue with Season 1 and 2.

I managed to get the early bird "Patient 0" pledge level. When I started at one-minute past the hour I was the 37th funder. By the time I finished there were about 360 backers!

I'm happy to be getting Audrey too! Should be interesting to see how things go over the next few days...

I was one hour late...  apparently miscalculated the starting date. Luckily a lot of people didn't yet read the Q&A section:

$90 Early Birds can count as $140 Early Birds

Just pledge $140 but select the $90 reward. Kickstarter limitation is such that we can't make them share the same pool of early bird slots but our Pledge Manager will recognize your pledge as a $140 pledge after the Kickstarter ends.

Didn't see the movie in a long time, so missing the hint of the plant if it is Leon. If someone else has an idea... please enlighten me. While I dislike kickstarter exclusives, I really like having miniatures based on movie/television characters. Got quite some hasslefree, obelisk and foundry models fitting that bill as well

Definitely Leon. The cotton cloak, round glasses, silenced pistol, beard and his beloved flowerpot plant are dead giveaways (pun intended, blabla )
