1/144 Me110 - a bit of air support for my Dirty Nazis
« on: 02 July 2014, 07:29:51 AM »

I rediscovered this old Academy 1:144 scale kit of a Messerschmidt Me110G lurking around in amongst my collection of stuff-I-bought-intending-to-do-something-with-it and thought it would make a good test-bed for trying out my newest airbrush.

It's not a very highly detailed model, but its profile is identifiable on the wargames table, and that's good enough for me. My days of super-detailing aircraft kits are long behind me. I shall have to sort out some sort of flight stand for it; I have some 3mm clear acrylic rod somewhere that should do the trick.

Beautiful job.  Looks perfectly suited for gaming.  I've never taken to uber-detailing anything, let alone aeroplanes.  Simple rod would make that perfect.  I've always been a huge fan of the splinter-esque camo on the German planes.

This is a German site, a nice plane certainly, but not very diplomatic comments!

Here, here! Please keep this a Nice place to be.

I really like the camo and the cockpit.

Not sure about the comment or the thread title. Please consider an edit for consideration. You don't really have to justify omitting those details, the reasons for it or painting WW2 German stuff on this German based site.
