I've just found your post on building a steamer,It seems were working on the same idea just not the same size lol
have a look at the great war section,I've just made a small ship for nothing to help Bryan out .take a look at his. small ship/boat post.

Thank you,it was made just to talk Bryan,through making a ship,I'm not claiming to have invented the wheel,just helping to take short cuts on the learning curve of scratch building.
Also how making your superstructers slot in stops you model being a one trick pony.

 Thanks,l'm going to have a crack at the Al Capone speed boat next.Well as soon as finished an armoured car I need done,and gone.It sits on my desk and hates me.

Thats a little too much like hard work.
I don't have the time or the love for subject,or the space for that matter.
The pictures you posted of the Capone boat,Just seemed like fast and simple afternoons work,for when I need a break from sculpting.
