And the Inuits / Eskimoes helped polar bears at least in the North Pole! Maybe in the South Pole pinguis extnct both Inuits and polar bears.

But it is gaming isn't it? So, we can have both penguins and polar bears together. Mark Copplestone has done a remarkably good job in these pinguins.
By the way what is correct: penguins or pinguins?

Penguin in English. I think it is Pinguin in some other language, though I forget which one.

Or just Pingu, if you are a little kid.

It's pingvin in Swedish, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's pinguin somewhere else.

Setup preview of the gaming table. Several things are still in the making:

So, the First LAC (Sweden) meet has taken place and this author found that both Rhoderic and Arcticman were right gentlemen and capital fellows, not at all the axe murderers he feard they might have been. The silverwear is still in the drawers to!

After 4 hours of preambulatory beers, getting-getting-to-know yous and bickering over the interpretations of T&T we ran a simple game of just infantry and heroes. Arcticman's renegade sub crew got their asses whupped GOOD by the Pan-Nordic Academy of Sciences expedition (Rhoderic ran the Swedish-Finnish-Norwegian troops of explorers and sailors lead by von Rosen, hammershield the Danish-Greenland contingent lead by Baroness Karen Blixen).

Battle report to come, unfortunately we forgot to do the silly hat line up. Unforgivable.

It was great fun! I was the youngster of the group, but Hammershield and Arcticman tried their best not to snicker too much while my ignorance of military history & hardware kept shining through :P

I must say I quite liked the T&T rules.

Lead Adventure Club (Sweden). It is not an official name or anything, just people of this forum of the same region (region could mean anything from inner city Bournsmouth to Europe ) putting something together. I am happy to say we have 75% attendance in our region. :-)

Thank you. I thought it must stand for that, the only thing leaving me in doubt was the fact that I had never heard of such a thing.

There is a private sub forum where we discuss our plots against crown and church. It's in our native gobbledigook so it wouldn't be of much interest to non Scandinavias. All others are most welcome on application to me.

Have you thought of SLAM (Swedish Lead Adventure Members)? Has a certain adventurous ring to it. ;)

Here's why you should run name suggestions through a dictionary before suggesting them to people who speak other languages.

Swedish entry word
    slam [slam:] slammet noun
    gyttja, dy, grums, bottenfällning

English translation
    mud; silt; slime, ooze

SLAM => DREGS. Quite appropriate. :-)

We considered Svenska Blyäventyrarföreningen. Like so many translations from English to our beloved tongue it loses a lot of sex appeal.
