You wait ages for one local gaming shop...
« on: 12 July 2014, 12:58:37 PM »
... and TWO arrive!

Titan Games have just opened a branch, complete with gaming tables, on Lincoln High Street.

And Battle Bunker, owned by a local chap, is also opening this month in the Stonebow Centre, just round the corner from GW.  It will have gaming tables too.

Good Lord - Lincoln now has more than half a dozen shops selling boardgames, miniatures, modelling supplies or card games.  Not sure if Waterstones still has a shelf of RPGs, it was pretty thin the last time I looked.  All within about a 20 minute walk.

Good times  :D

Just wanted to rub your noses in it, that's all  lol

Indeed. I went down to Titan Games the other day. They have lots of tables you can use any time to play anything, with most of them being downstairs in the basement bit. :)

They seem to stock all the complete systems (i.e. games that have rules and miniature ranges from one place). They even have the new Warzone stuff in. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the Malifaux plastics looked (I left the game due to assuming swapping from metal would be as bad as it was for GW). All in all, a decent little shop and they seem keen to build up a community. There is already a Dreadball league on the go.

Two in short order eh? Good time to be a gamer in this locale. :)

That's either great...or terrible (if they split revenue and neither becomes sustainable).  Heck I'm quite convinced my state (half as big as your country) doesn't have 6 proper gaming stores...(sigh).

Is the epicentre of the miniature wargaming universe drifting northwards from Nottingham? ;)

Apart from Gamers Guild in Redhill (which sadly carries next to nothing by way of stock), I don't think there's now a single gaming shop within a 20 mile radius of where I live - except for GW. And even they've closed their Croydon store, so I think Bluewater is now the closest. Or Oxford Street...
Going back a few years, there used to be several...  :(

Very lucky!
I have this shop just down the road (like 3km) from my house http://sentrybox.com
Check out the little video at the bottom.

And thanks to the crappy exchange rate, their prices are now back in line!

Sorry bud. But in the same amount of distance i must have at least 8 places that sell such things. And the have, for the most part, been around for a few years now. A couple for a decade or so.
But glad to hear you are drowning in good fortune.  :-)
