28mm Gladiators
« on: July 12, 2014, 10:04:06 PM »
I finally finished up a collection of Gladiators I started a few years back - and added some new pictures of them all to the 28mm  Ancient Roman Gallery on my Blog. The Gallery can be found here:

Here are a few pictures of the gladiators (more can be found in the gallery - scroll down past the EIR DBA army pics):

Really nice. Simple but very effective shields too.

Absolutely fantastic.  Probably my favourite collection of gladiators I've seen on here.  Fantastic stuff.  I love the colours and the minis.

Thanks Everyone!

The kids saw me taking pictures of these yesterday and have been hounding me incessantly to play a game... so I broke out Song of Shadows and Dust to play a quick game with them this afternoon. A full report and lots of pictures can be found hom my blog:

http://saskminigamer.blogspot.ca/2014/07/an-afternoon-at-arena.html

Here are a few of the highlights of the action..

The kids and our little arena.

The combatants close on the first turn

By the second turn the Boys were down one...

In a couple more turns there was but one of the boys facing two ferocious female gladiators...

Check out the blog to see how it turned out.

Thanks!

I have actually been working on a bunch of civilians - some are armed, others not-so-much - for street gangs in Song of Shadows and Dust. Hopefully I'll get around to posting pictures of those soon.

Great miniatures. I like the idea of each ludus havings its own colour scheme.  I hadn't given that too much thought until now.
