It's from the Carl Critchlow illustrations in the R.T. rule book oh Red Orky one.

I don't think I've looked at a copy of the RT rulebook for about 20 years. So I can't say how true or not to the original it is. But it certainly looks pretty bloody groovy.

Nah, it was a 1/72 scale kit.

But wow! The mind boggles at how humongous it would have been if did use a 1/35 scale Mech  :o

My first thought was "oh, some Tomahawk/Defender legs!" and then I saw the artwork and it's obvious where the artist got his inspiration.  Interesting walker for sure.

I have no idea what a 'Helsreach Walker' is, but of course I now want one. This looks awesome.

Was thinking the same thing, lad. Pleased you played the fool before me, flushed out the image, so I wouldn't have to rush home for my tome. And, nobody knows I was so clueless.

Oh, wait...  ;D

Yepper, that's insane in SUCH a good way!

So then prime, were those lights printouts or floor protector dots with lines added?

Hey Vyper,

It was actually both, but not intentionally.

I did the printout thing first, but after painting the whole model they just didn't look "real" enough....a bit 2D when compared to the rest of it.

Then after stumbling across those clear protector thingy's the next day I decided to give them a go. I just stuck then directly over the top of the printout headlights & then painted a few thin stripes on them to simulate the glass affect.

I think that they look better because of the printout underneath, but maybe that's me being biased?

Cheers.
