Upgrading GW Epic Rhinos to Predators
« on: July 15, 2014, 02:34:14 PM »
I have recently purchased some turret upgrades from Shapeways.  They turned some of my 6mm Epic Rhinos into Predators.  Check out my blog for the details and more pictures.

They look pretty good, although the Shapeways bits look a little rough-surfaced.

Is there any particular reason for the bait-and-switch though; can you not just share the details/pictures here?  ???

I opted for the cheaper material from Shapeways, so yes the turrets are a little less defined that I would like.  My next order will be the Fine Detail material.  It is only a few dollars more.

It is easier to post on my blog and then just link it to the various forums.  Also, some forums limit the number of pictures that can be added.

Well, I can understand that. The point is more that on a forum (a place for discussion) it helps to have what you're discussing to hand so to speak. If you haven't seen it already, there is some good advice here which may be of interest to you.

That said, I had a quick look through your blog post and thought it was pretty good. As a fellow TacCom-er and Epic enthusiast, I'd love to see more Epic on these boards. :)
