Well, this isn't one of their regular stock items unlike other said company but a special edition figure...plus the base is unique so some extra work went into making this figure unlike a standard figure. I wanted one....

It's a nice figure actually; it lacks the weird pantomime muppet face of a lot of Warlord's WW2 figures. However, £10 is a tad much for my taste as well.

£10 is step bit as a die hard band of brothers fan I just couldnt resist and bought 2

one for the field the other for display (more money then sense)

I don't think so, this is limited, Warlord has to stay in the ball park of other companies otherwise they will put themselves out of a job....Stallard is a pretty savvy guy and won't let the company fall to crap, that is why he left GW as he didn't agree with how they was doing things.

Although I have already said it is expensive, I also don't think this is true. A one-off, over priced model won't drive the prices up. Warlord, like them or not, have always had pretty good prices on their non-special models.

I must admit fully:

Yes, it is horrendously overpriced

Yes, it is gimmicky salesmanship

Yes, he is a fantastic sculpt

And yes, for some reason I was compelled to purchase it!

Please don't berate me too much, I promise I am not one to make such purchases ever before, or will likely ever again!
