Nice painting and basing; and nice choice of colours (liking that red).

Hey Skip,

I have heard about these rules but never played them.  I was curious what your thoughts on them were?  Are they large scale skirmish rules?  Play fast? easy to learn?  Love to hear your input.

Thanks,

John

Those are niiice!  Ronin was fun.  I particularly liked the use of the chits for offense/defence.  Let you control how all out or not you could fight!

Love Kingsford Miniatures!  Just got some really nicely done ninjas for pulp gaming!

hi flashman, i have played the rules a few times with my son, fast to learn, designed for small skirmish games as it takes a while to play at first, only 12 pounds i think

I've played it a lot recently with a summer campaign going on.

It's normally a small skirmish, normally the sides can have a handful to about a dozen barring a few lists where some people try to go for sheer numbers...in which case, there is a way to get up to 50 models in a 200 point game, which tends to be a list that can't actually do much and just bogs everything down. Do everyone a favor and don't be the guy playing a peasant swarm list without a really good reason for it.

In normal situations the game runs fast and is rather easy to learn, it also expands rather well. The only thing really lacking is with certain parts being very bare bones, and some lists seeming to be a bit to inclusive (namely the Koreans and Chinese) to merge several lists into one.

Also Osprey hadn't uploaded the second part of the monsters stuff to their site for an easy print format.
