Tabletop Workshop Castle Update
« on: 21 July 2014, 11:36:21 AM »
Hi guys,

I was on Lead Adventures previewing the fantastic Tabletop Workshop 28mm Castle series late last year (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=60522.msg738191#msg738191) and wanted to show you all the very first finished product. The stand-alone 28mm Watchtower will be released early to mid-August and is now available to pre-order online at http://www.tabletopworkshop.co.uk/.

Here are the pics!

That's what we're hoping. It's designed for wargamers of all backgrounds. Everyone loves castles!

That looks really good.

The pre-order offer is very tempting but happily my FLGS offers your products so I'm sure that they will have the tower in store at later point and I can then support their business (and yours) at later point.

Looks very tempting.
When are the walls and gate due out?

We're hesitant to give a specific date out at this moment and time. Manufacturing capacity in the UK is running at maximum at the moment and we are having to wait for a specific slot to machine and mould each part of the Castle. Because of this we've had problems hitting the recent deadlines we've set so don't want to commit to a firm one! All that we can say is that we're hoping to have the first 3 parts of the Castle complete and on sale in the next few months.

Gotta say, having been unforgivably sniffy about the computer rendering, the end product looks very nice.
The detail looks slightly shallow, but hell - it's better than MDF. It is, of course, also ever so perfectly cylindrical, whereas real castles always manage to look a little bit higgeldy-piggledy and organic somehow. But overall, it looks great.
Sorely tempted, but will probably wait to see what the rest of it looks like. Good luck with it.

Thanks for the great feedback Captain Blood. We got our hands on some more images today so hopefully these can sway you. One with the Assembly Instructions and the other of a finished Watchtower! Enjoy!

That looks lovely and makes me remember the great little tower from the old Battlemasters game (which became a staple on most tabletops after that game disappeared).  Nicely done.  If (and by if, I mean: when) I start gaming this period I'll definitely be looking at Tabletop Workshop products.  Nicely done.

I'm afraid I can't help you there Martin. If you have Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest we're on all of those platforms. There's also the website http://www.tabletopworkshop.co.uk I'm afraid of they don't work you may have to wait till your home. Sorry!
