I actually found an episode of Magnum PI to watch yesterday. It made me want the figures even more!

I know the competition deadline has passed but I had a few more ideas and explanations:

Sam Colt (Tom Magnum PI) - Magnum uses a Colt handgun so it's a simple swap of names for the lead character. Colt should have a Magnum handgun in any figure. A Hawaiian shirt would be a must, perhaps with a baseball cap.

Jamieson Partridge Andrews (Jonathan Quayle Higgins) - the name has to be a similar three parter. The Magnum inspiration is called Higgins and the guy who invented the Higgins boat was Andrew Higgins hence the Andrews surname. Partridge is a swap for Quayle,  another ground bird and a posh sounding middle name. Jamieson seemed like a suitable replacement for Jonathan in terms of sound and style. His two dogs were Zues and Apollo so Odin and Thor are swap outs for similarly well known pantheons. Armed with a riding crop or cane Andrews would be dressed in military style shorts and shirt.

Darwin 'DW' Waterstone (Theodore 'TC' Calvin) - calling him Hobbes was the first thought but it made a two letter name (like TC) difficult.  Changing it to Waterstone after the creator of Calvin and Hobbes gave a better option. The letter D offered DW as a decent sounding name and Darwin came from The Amazing World of Gumball who also pay tribute to the Waterstone name. DW would have a handgun and perhaps an improvised hand weapon such as a large spanner. DW would be wearing a t-shirt with wide braces and a baseball cap.

Wilbur 'Charlie' Taylor (Orville 'Rick' Wright) - Wilbur is a straight swap for Orville (the Wright Brothers) and the Taylor part is from Charlie Taylor the unsung assistant of the Wright Brothers,  which also provides the nickname Charlie. As a former weapons specialist Charlie would be armed with an 80s smg or modern equivalent if they were sculpted as contemporary pieces. Charlie would have an 80s style safari jacket with a wide collared shirt.

Too much thought?  lol

Pardon my ignorance, but what's the inspiration for 'The Strangers' and the 'Demon Gorgon'?

I think it's the Netflix show 'Stranger Things'.

That's really good. Great to see such interest in your figures. I'm sure I'm not alone in being interested in seeing the list of ideas.

I'm very tempted by the Red Sector crew and the Strangers, especially the Strangers.
