1/48 Maus and Japanese for Dust Warfare
« on: July 27, 2014, 08:25:28 PM »
Hi guys have been working on lots of new stuff and have finally posted them on my blog. I have completed a load of Japanese infantry and walker conversions and finally gotten around to painting my 1/48 Maus from Blitzkrieg Models.

How was the Maus kit to assemble?

The model was so easy to assemble as it was only 6 pieces. The hull has the tracks and wheels cast on with excellent detail and a separate hatch whilst the turret has 4 pieces, turret, separate hatch, main gun and co axial gun. Very, very nice resin.

Did you replace the co-axial 7.5cm cannon with a laser on the Maus? If so, nice touch!  lol

Thanks guys, the Japanese were fun to do and I still have a heavy tank conversion in the works. The Maus was an easy model to put together and the addition of a co axial laser created a Dustified feel.
