That's a smashing piece of work - well done!  I'm just reading 'An Ice-Cream War' by William Boyd and it's highly entertaining stuff - as well as opening my eyes to what was going on in East Africa in WWI.

Aha, after a initial maneuverings, it seems we've settled into a war of attrition on the GWPC. Which means my entry makes it.

No. 33. Le Grognard





He was a free sample from the Forgotten and Glorious offer. I got a French officer, but thought the head was a bit cartoony, so switched it for a Napoleonic plastic head from the bits box.

I got a bit happy with the weathering powder and mud effect. Hope you like him!

He's a great figure. I've painted him too - those FG figures are a real pleasure to paint (mainly because they're so bloomin' huge  ) Love the alternative head as well.
