Entry No.99: Marcus Claudius Marcellus, Summer 212 BC,  Siege of Syracuse

That's a fantastic model and impressive painting job!!

Entry No.100: Spartan War Altar

A great way to finish the project!! Very inspiring!!

Indeed. Glad you made it here as well.
MDM/SG ;)

PS: That's the bronze laurel awarded, I've adapted your pictures accordingly, Andrés. :D

I didn't know about the laurel award!! Thank you MDM  ;)

Prof.Witchheimer : This project is a very good idea. Thank you very much and I look forward to taking part in more (it's a good way of getting a lot of those miniatures in lost boxes painted!!)

Cheers!!

I held off commenting on this thread till the end as each model just so good to comment on just a few would have seemed unfair.

Great work by all who took part and I look forward to seeing the next 100 club.

Well, thanks a lot for this common project. Very inspirational :-*

Lots and lots of well painted minis, and I think I've got some new painting tricks now.

Cheers

This was a great idea Alex, and I enjoyed seeing people's contributions very much. I had several more ancient figures lined up to paint, but just ran out of painting time at the critical point I'm afraid...
Ah well, maybe I'll save them for the next LPL ;)

I might not have got my gladiators painted but this did get me to clean, base and undercoat them! I totally agree that this has been a wonderful community-spirited ride, with amazing painting talent on display. I can't wait to see where the 100 club springs up next.

I became aware of this and then forgot about it. Looking forward where the next one will take place. Might manage to paint one miniature till you count to 100. :D

Great results everyone!

I looked for something in the lead pile that would fit the Ancients category and I came up empty apart from a Xyston brand Quadreme [sp?]. But I really enjoyed following the thread.

... Next Painting Club on another board is coming soon..:)

So what board are we looking at for the next 100 Club? Any hints? ::)

I am rather hoping I will have something that fits in for the next one.

Edit: Wandering off to search the lead pile for something "Pulp..."

This was an excellent thread - quite inspirational...even if I missed out on it by a couple of days (painted up a bunch o' gladiators recently).  Good stuff... ;D
