Great additions, guys. Love that maritime Caesar. :-*

Just in for my final entry to the club, you guessed it, another gladiator. ::) To complete the armatura here's Satornilos' opponent, Lascivus, a murmillo.

No. 97
Manufacturer: Crusader

Now to wait for bronze, silver and gold…

Also superb!!   :-*

Gladiators, Germans, Romans-all superb! Just a few more to go and I am tempted to go back and count to see which group dominated the boards. If I were to guess, I'd say Romans.

We shall see.  Onward Ho!!!!

Love it but tan lines?  lol

Are they 28mm figs?

No, unfortunately they are not. They are marketed as 1/43. I got them hoping to use them for a Conan-themed LPL entry but they were towering over the rather beefy 28mm heroic scale barbarian so the have lived a secluded life on the shelf ever since. I don't have many Ancients so I am glad I found use for them.

I have a feeling that this will not be stopping at 100.

This could go on for far longer than that!

Just two more to go & I still haven't primed my Carthagenians. Had too many colonial sailors on the table ahead of them.

Ooooh nice job on that skin and the shield as well. There's time for you to get in another one methinks.

I'm who is going to get the number 100 spot and where the Prof is taking the 100 Club to next.

Okay, looks like here is still some place for my newly painted Aventine republican general.

Entry No.99: Marcus Claudius Marcellus, Summer 212 BC,  Siege of Syracuse

My first intention was to make Gaius Marius out of him as I found his face looks just like Marius' face but I couldn't imagine Marius would walk around with that sort of helmet. So I went back a bit into the 3rd century BC and did found my general - Marcus Claudius Marcellus. That guy was a really a though nut, fighting for the republik in the Gallic war of 225 BC and Second Punic War, killing in a hand-to-hand combat the Gallic king Viridomarus at Clastidium, conquering Syracuse and finally died in a battle, killed by the spear of a Numidian horseman.

Love that face, has been a great fun to paint!

Now I'm looking forward to the No. 100 :)
