Chaco war miniatures
« on: 30 July 2014, 09:47:34 AM »
I'm interested in war gaming the Chaco War but can't seem to find many suitable miniatures. I war game in either 28mm or 1/72 so if there are nay suitable miniatures for the period in these scales that would be great. I've seen some 15mm Chaco war miniatures somewhere but I'd rather it was in the two previously mentioned scales.
Thanks
Blofeld

Raventhorpe might do some in 20mm metal but their web presence is zero and cannot assist further.

The 15mm ones were probably the Khurasan ones.

The only 28mm figures I know of are those by Orinoco.

Why not using these Empress miniatures of SCW?

Those Empress figures would do for the Bolivians, but the Paraguayans might be a bit tougher (many bare or sandaled feet, the jungle slouch hat, etc.).

But look up Orinoco! They're working on more figures for just that very conflict and have plans for some officers & more specialized troops. They have some threads on LAF here:

I thought Caliver were planning some?
They had a couple of painted samples of something South American last autumn.

I have also been wanting to do the Chaco War in 1/72 Hat ww1 Russians and their support weapons will do nicely for the Bolivians but the sticking point is the Paraguayans . Irregular do the Chaco war in 15mm if that is any help.

Hi there. Scheltrum here.

If you would like a listing of the figures (and the rest of my ranges), drop me an email and I'll sent you an up to date catalogue.
