She wants Starfire and Raven.  But she wants THESE types of Starfire and Raven:

Not this Starfire:

(She also wants to know why Starfire is naked when she fights all the bad guys.  I can't really explain it to her.)

I have poked around Reaper, thinking there might be something to modify.  Thought Raven would be easy -- cloak, small, female -- but it's not that easy, either.  At least the grown up Raven heroclix can pass.  She's really interested in trying to get some super hero games in with me, but I'm stuck on these two figures, and really, REALLY stuck on Starfire.  Suggestions?

Thanks.

how about one of the naked harem girls from hassle free then green stuff the costume on it doesn't look like it would be too hard ,the costume doesn't appear to be too in depth .

There were some nice Bandai ones a few years ago. Should be able to find on ebay
http://www.toymania.com/columns/spotlight/bandaittset2mini.shtml

Not sure what the pricing on them will be like though.

Looking on ebay, it varies. There is a mint in pack with 5 figures (Including Raven) for $20. Or they seem to go about $2-$5 per figure.

If you want something less "Super Deformed", you can also look at the Icons Set of Heroclix.
But not the Teen Titans or Streets of Gotham set (which is the new "Street walker" Starfire)

This is the version from Unleashed. It averages .50 for the #64 uncommon version, buy you should be able to pick it up for less.

The version above from Icons averages .27 cents for its common and uncommon versions.

Heroclix has not made a cartoon version of Starfire in midriff.

BTW don't go to ebay. Those yokels don't know what they are charging! You can buy old HC figs really cheap from guys on HCRealms trading forum. I've bought 100s upon 100s of figs from other players there. Of course, newer rare figures will be a bit expensive. http://www.hcrealms.com/index.php?page=units

If I had an extra Raven, I'd send it to you. Sadly, no extras in my collection. (The Unleashed version is one of my favs and has won me many games in the day.)

Thanks all.

Think I found answers -- in the local $.25 or 5 for a dollar bucket of busted Clix.

With a repaint, that should make an okay Starfire.  And gives her something to paint.

Add a cloak and some paint, and that should make a Teen Titan Go -esque Raven, I think.

As an added bonus, managed to pick up a Robin, Batgirl, Terra, Wasp, and Wonder Woman.  Going to use one of my Reaper Bones figures for Cyborg.  Two bucks got her all of the Teen Titans.  Sure, they need some paint and touch up ... will keep you updated.

Again, thanks all!

PS -- how well do these Heroclix take greenstuff and paint?  Anything special need to be done to them.  Having Bones painting frustration flashbacks.

Don't know about greenstuff, but I repainted some clix many years ago. Don't strip them--it's a nightmare. Wash them well. I primed over them using gesso since I didn't want color bleeding through, but I know some painters who didn't worry about that. Then I painted them. They turned out fine. No real loss of detail, but they are not high-detail figures to begin with, though much better than early clix. To remove from base, freeze them a while then carefully chisel off of the base, though clipping might be better the way the current figs are mounted. Get a couple junk clix and experiment.

Sprayed mine with black primer, but if you wash them well paint goes right on them. They convert fairly easy also with removing heads, arms, etc...to convert your own figures. The material can flex on you which could cause green stuff to crack depending. I would suggest perhaps trying a brass foil for the cloak.

Some of them do have good details underneath but, like others have said, it is really painful.  Acetone is the only thing I know of that actually works on them and you have to be really careful it does not melt the figure.  That said, those two would probably be fine just painted over.  There are tons of threads on here where people have achieved great results just by painting of the original.

I have used super glue and green stuff on them to mod and have had no problems.

I've used regular krylon spray paint to prime them they pant up fine and I've used super glue on them. I hear the trick with the bones figures is to coat them with a thin layer of PVA then prime them.

Some discussion about priming and  not priming and other Bones related writing - the concepts might transfer to Clix.

If you do want to strip the paint before priming, Acetone is your friend when it comes to HeroClix.  Just don't be too heavy with it, as it can damage the mini if you leave it in there too long.  A quick bath in a small glass container, and then Q-Tips of Acetone to finsih cleaning the mini is what's most recommended.
