May they crush the bourgeois scum - railway workers of the World unite. Fantastic stuff and the flavourful Red Actions will no doubt serve them well. By the way what does their banner say?

I plan to create a script of the game based on real events.
Red in the company had twice as much as oppose them - the Czechs and the volunteers of the units of the Siberian Government. In addition, the Red Guards fighting at a very convenient position - on a hill on the banks of rivers. But the Reds was a significant lack of ammunition, and the city behind their backs came a revolt (red managed to suppress and expel the remnants of the rebels out of the city).
Czechs and white troops had high quality, moreover - they used several pieces of artillery.
In reality - red were forced to leave the city.

The inscription on the banner reads:

1st Barnaul Red Guards company

Proletarians of all countries - unite!
From the workers' Red Guards originated the mighty Red Army.
We will die - but the win!

Those are excellent! I love the mix of pieces of uniforms and civilian clothing.

I really must get back to my RCW project and add more Red Guard and militia to my collection.

Excellent painting, you've really captured the motley look of the (early?) Red Guard!

These figures are for the period is the start of a major Civil War in Russia - May 1918. Mutiny of the Czechoslovak Corps.

All military units of red, fought for Barnaul, were Red Guards, consisting of volunteer workers. These were mostly railroad, miners and sailors commercial river fleet.  Of having military experience was a small detachment of demobilized frontline soldiers and a company of Hungarian internationalists - former prisoners of war.

Incidentally, the Bolsheviks often used local groups of volunteers-working to support the Red Army, forming such groups of Communist workers throughout the war.
