The Quickening game was based around the Sensei fluff from Lost and the Damned. Basically each player had a Sensei and two sidekicks, the idea was to be the last one standing. We were using necromunda rules for the most part but to get around the issue of having seven players we used a set of shuffled cards to denote turns.
In addition to this there were two areas of holy ground where the Sensei could spend a turn not being shot at and also pick up another power card (see above) that might be mighty leap, +1 strength etc. The sidekicks are just baseline models with bolt pistols to keep it simple. The sensei could lose their wounds normally but their final wound could only be taken by another sensei in close combat. When you kill another sensei you get a background explosion and are raised into the air for a round, you get one of your opponents cards and you get all your wounds back. It was quick, bloody and great fun!
