Gardner or Gatling?
« on: August 12, 2014, 05:34:10 PM »
Okay, these both have gamer reputations of jamming at the worst possible moment, which I am sure is a matter of survivors remembering when Murphy's law was most evident.

Is there any non-anecdotal based reason to thing one jammed more often than the other?

I have some legacy 25 mm versions of both and was wondering if they should have differing RoF, effectiveness, and/or failure rates in a game where detail could be included that would be semi-realistic.

Gracias,

Glenn

If the Gardner gun acted like the Beneit  MG,used by Pershing,in Mexico, then the straight clip was a nightmare, any dust and  not getting the clip in exactly straight under combat conditions ,and it was no fire, the Gardner was probably not as finicky, but to keep a game simple ,we would roll 1xd-6,and on a 6,jammed for one turn.,for Gatling or Gardner gun.
