Santa Carlito
« on: 13 August 2008, 03:12:07 PM »
Hey I've got the Savage Worlds Test Drive rules, 20 Zombies, and a number of survivor types. I'd like to start a Savage Worlds campaign for my group set on the ficticious Caribbean island republic of Santa Carlito. Of course I plan to get the Explorers Edition soon but I'd like to do an "Outbreak" senerio to kick off the campaign using the Savage Worlds Test Drive rules. Any suggestions for senerio and encounter ideas?

Yes, the name does suggest an island with gender confusion issues. Zombie ladyboys, anyone?  :)

This suggest something to do with...Voodoo!
And possibly the rising of the zombies of the plantation workers who were experimented on by the mad scientist who once used the plantation as a hiding place for his secret labororatory.

Yep  :D

How many players do you have? How many are new role players?

It's a great set of rules and my group are really enjoying them.
So many projects..... so little time.......

You have to hide the plantation too if it's a plantation of some sort of genetically modified drug!

How about Genetically modified Bananas that turn people into Zombies?

Ok I think I have the outbreak figured out.  The United Fruit Corporation have been secretly experimenting on genetically modified bananas at their hidden plantation on San Carlito.  Unfortunately the coporation scientist unwittingly create a banana that infects anyone who eats one with a virus that turns them into zombies.  This problem may have been averted had all the bananas been tested but plantation workers have stolen some of the Bananas to suplement their families megre diets and one enterprising worker has even started selling the modified fruit to restraunts on the island.  People start eating the bananas when they ripen and all hell breaks loose.
