Cheap scenic items
« on: August 28, 2014, 05:46:31 AM »
These scenics are inspired by cheap every day items that can be found in general stores or the hobby shop and converted into some useful wargame terrain.

The rubber golf tee seemed way too fussy for what's basically just a trucated cone. Doesn't seem worth it for something you could probably do using a plastic cup from the same shop. Or even a stiff enough paper cup.

I like the tanks though. Specfically the bit about how the stacked discs show through the glue-softened paper to create a paneling effect. That's brilliant clever. The bicycle caps look like they might make good post boxes or public trash cans in 28-35mm.
History viewed from the inside is always a dark, digestive mess, far different from the easily recognizable cow viewed from afar by historians.
