The shed wars blog has in its own right become a new hobby. I am learning all the time about what works an what doesn't and it has become a great pleasure.

This is a very good way of putting what I've also found to be true.  The blog itself is kind of a sub-hobby and quite rewarding.  Our blog is just a bit younger than our club, so as well as the interaction with other hobbyists -which takes place on the blog and at the forums where I post notices about the blog posts- the ability to look back and see history of our club and how we've progressed and what we've done over the years is very satisfying.
