Destiny: Bungie's new First person shooter Titan and Hunter.
« on: 09 September 2014, 12:24:59 AM »
Well this is naturally right up my alley so as I have banned myself to purchase  this game until next month (as I literally have too much going on this month), I've  been drooling  over the new FMV trailer 'become legend' and have found suitable proxies/conversions for two out of the three main lead player characters.

The Titan and the Hunter: dead zone enforcers one sniper straight off the sprue for the Hunter and a metal  enforcer with a miscast head removed and a pig iron system trooper head added with a dream forge sci-fi MG42 back slung.

Just a few more bits to do on it and that's  the Titan done.

Still looking for a suitably scaled warlock proxy, (the enforcers are big so the elder ranger I was planning looks too small unfortunately so back to the drawing board) and I'm done. ;)

If you've  not seen the trailer it's fantastic:  :-*

Pics tomorrow.

Look forward to seeing this. I was going to head down to game to pick up a copy tomorrow using vouchers I got for my birthday but with both my controllers not working correctly going to need to get Sony to replace them first.

Can't wAit for the pictures? Any plans for making a sparrow? What about fallen?

I may have used something like this for a hunter

Yup infinity will work well but just really fiddle to do. I'll  probably end up doing a kill team using those too just for fun.

Just  gotta find a decent warlock proxy to go with the others...

Anyway spent all day at the beach glorious  weather  so will sort out pics later.

Oh yeah now I know what to use my revell eagle lander kit for too ;)

Music? Something classical. 😈

Naff night shots.

Will finish and paint ASAP.  Again looking for suggestions for warlock proxies:

There is probably something in the infinity line that would work for it but nothing springs to mind at the moment.

Yup posted that in response to your infinity nod already. Remember the warlock hss to scale with the others.

Cheers

Yeah that's the problem. Other two are great proxies so far though. If I spot anything I will let you know.

I'm going to take a look through my plastics,  elf/eldar parts might work.

cheers for the interest.

East riding slicks could work I reckon:

Especially as they scale up as tall 28/30mm???

Switching the hands and the head would probably do the job. Maybe some green stuff armour too.

Cheers Rob, suffice  to say infinity is well covered dude. The minis are slight and I need something to scale up with the two mantic chaps first off. Infinity generally doesn't. Good finds though. Currently  looking  at the plastic eldar farseer sprue that might work.

Cheers

It has robots, undead, wizards, dark rituals and aliens, oh and spider tanks.

All the characters despite looking like robots are wearing fully enclosed helmets while in the field, you see their faces in the city and in cut scenes.

I'd started kit bashing figures out of Halo Actionclix pieces and greatcoat wearing Heroclix figs, but ran out of steam when I found no-one I knew had an Enforcer helmet to trade for an Exo head conversion, so I'm envious if your progress!
