Just a MTLB  ;)

Why would you need an MTLB? They're not used in frontline service any more by the Russians.

Only vehicle that is common which is missing is a Tigr... However, I doubt you'd want to ride into battle in a Tigr when you have BTR80s/BMP3s available.

I have the Empress/Imprint BMP-3 and the HLBS BMD-2 - both splendid models. I should probably see about getting some infantry for them at some point... ;)

On the subject of future vehicles, how about something to go with the Leopard 2? I can't be the only person who would commit a (minor) felony for a CV90.

If you really want an MTLB then aside from the HLBS one then Propaganda Kompany do a mighty impressive 1/48 kit:

There's also a paper model out there:

You'll need to resize it but for $3.00 you can't really complain.

that's the style I prefer the MTLB and other BMP1, BMP2 (which are still the same and still in service in Russia)

My order is past, I expected my Russian forward. I had to accompany a BMP3 although i prefer the BMP 1 or the MTLB for the coolest design.

A couple of useful head sets.

Shaggy Brit cammo heads and Taliban heads that can also be used for some special forces.

Hmmmm... combined with a couple of your Jazz Age tribesmen I see some potential use for those Afghan heads. :)

Yes especially the Jazz Age cavalry with Lee Enfields. Had a similar thought yesterday. Must give it a try  ;)

Be fair, they produce a fair share of what is currently in service with the Russian Army and is likely to be so for a very long time. BTR-80, BTR-80A/ BTR-82 and they do a BMP-3. Tank-wise they have a T-90, T-80 and a T-72, what more do you really want?

I never said they didn't produce all that, I'm not sure where you get that I'm not being fair?
I asked if they were going to produce a particular vehicle which is also becoming more widely used around the world, and could also fit in the PLA range as a quick web search seems to indicate they have a growing number.

Tanks and apc are definitely good thing, but how many tanks do you really need for a skirmish game? :)
And imho 28mm much more useful scale for playing minor clashes then let say battalion level games.

Things like Tigr, Vodnik, Typhoon and even uaz-469 much more needed than any tank.

Exactly my point. Everyone seems to scream for the armour but ignore the workhorses. The Tigr would be a great fit for all sorts of other scenarios that don't involve front-line warfare, like sci-fi, spy-fi, Russian gangsters vs police.... In terms of front-line battles as well, surely at 28mm/1:56 you'd be more likely to see one of these in the battlespace on the table than a T-72/80/90? Plus, if /when the Russian Army does take to the field in future years you can bet they'll be using these, so it would be nice to have them available.

I'm as big an Empress fan as the next positive commenter on this thread, believe me (as a regular purchaser at shows and KS-backer, and I currently have the Very Bad Men on the painting bench...), it just seems that this is a golden opportunity to produce something no-one else does in this scale and it's been sadly passed up.

Unless it's sneakily going to be included in the PLA range.....?

Check out HLBS as they make a number of Russian items that we do not.

Hows that for a free advert  lol

Honestly? iirc, they're 1/48, so possibly a touch too big? I'm sure they look fine on the table but they still don't cover the most modern stuff. The Shilka's a nice option though  :D

Do you really notice the difference between 1/48 and 1/50? That's what the Empress vehicles are, 1/50. I have a good selection of them, when they were still made by Imprint. Personally I can't see much difference with the 1/48 stuff.

1/48 and 1/56, that's another kettle of fish.

The 1:56 to 1:50 issue isn't a problem if the vehicle TYPES are similar.  AFV in 1:50 versus AFV in 1:56 in noticeable whereas 1:50 AFV to 1:56 soft skin (jeeps, landrover, even the wiesel from Company B) is not that bad.  You have to be consistent.
