Hello there,

usually i post my stuff in a german forum, but i have to give back some "love" to you guys, cause i like this forum very much. Very inspirational.  :-*

Regarding to the topic Low cost terrain http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=70803.0 i want to show my first piece of sci-fi terrain:

Because i've never seen it before, i call me the inventor of the mighty Spray-Head-Gun.  :D
Built in Nov 2013.

Take a spray head (this one is used by henkel -> sidolin):

Add plate (board) pieces and bits:

Build a base:

What is hiding in there:

Ah yes, an automatic flamer / laser combi turret. What else...:

 ;D

Hope you like it and to see your variants soon!
My german hobby-peers did not came up with clones yet.  :'(

The member Eilif inspired me now, to make stuff out of Hot Wheels toys, like he did:

My table got trees and rocks, but now i want to play SciFi Skirmish with my old 40k guys, so i will built much more SciFi terrain. We will see...

Greetings from Berlin,
Jan

Nicely done and very convincing.  Works particularly well in the camouflaged housing.
Back from the dead, almost.

Nice! I've done something similar some time ago, but using heads from those cheap spray-guns from the 1€ stores:

I detailed them with bits from some 1/72 kits; the barrels are just cheap aluminium tube cut to size and the base are plastic stoppers for bottles. I them painted them grey and offered them to a gaming store near my home, lol

Very impressive Jan,
I may never throw out a spray bottle again!
It's kind of amazing how good the arrangement of sections is on that piece even before you add the greebling.

I wonder if there is one in the recycle bin that I could snag...

Just occurred to me,d with that flat surface area on "top", it could easily be glued to the side of a building as an HVAC or sensor unit.  Even though it's soft plastic, if you roughed it up it would probably even stick well with superglue, though I recommend epoxy for soft plastics.

Alright, I'm getting a few of these and seeing what I can come up with.

Yesterday I took apart a spray bottle head from some window wash.  Complete fail.  Looks nothing like yours and with no notable gaming or greebling use.

Stupid boring American household product dispensers.

Seems to be hard to find this flat Sidolin (by Henkel) head in the US. It is the best looking spray head i have seen so far. As you said it, eilif, its shape fits from the beginning to the SciFi Section. This is the reason i am buying Sidolin, though it is much more expensive than NoName brands.

Mybe if someone finds the head in the US, he can post the source here.

That's brilliant. I'll have to have a look in my cupboard of cleaning sprays as well. :D
