Its nice Emir to see an army being built rather than all the finished units together, it gives inspiration for those involved with big projects

Shipka,

This is very much a personal project and not one I am involved in with anyone else at my local club, so its nice to go at my own pace and not "have to be ready by....".

I've raced to built armies for conventions, anniversaries and displays in the past and a couple of years back decided that was far, far too stressful and spoiled my enjoyment. Patience is a virtue, apparently...and besides it gives me time to get all the other bits. (Poplar trees being stocked up on now and I'm looking for the bridge to match my Italeri buildings for example).

This is a new range, so pace is also dictated by it's development too.

Each new figure from Ged is well worth the wait!

what colours are the coat/uniform of the Neapolitans, it looks like they are painted different shades of grey/blue/green, are there any colour plates left Ged?

Just in time for my return I hope.

Those big regiments look great. We really need to bottom out the flag situation - does Rex have sources he can share?

Just for information. I received today a Military Modelling magazine June 1982 which features Uniform details for English Volunteers in Garibaldi's Army. This article is quite detailed and with some very useful uniform plates.

Secondly, I've a book namely "The diary of one of Garibaldi's Thousand" by Giuseppe Cesare Abba which I recommend to anyone with such interest. Interesting detail of leaders and actions including uniform and weapons from May 1860 to November 1860 which is the period I'm interested in.

Thanks.
Best wishes,
Helen

Helen,
Thanks for sharing that. I'll have to see if I can track them down too.

Ged,
Even in the back of beyond I'm keeping an eye on things......order placed!! This will give me some skirmishers using the chaps in the caps and a unit of cavalry. Now I'll have some shiny new toys to look forward to when I get home.

 :)
