Nice figs Oly!

Ged,
My figs arrived yesterday and I'm very impressed - the Picciotti are full of character, whilst the Neapolitan artillery is very business like and efficient!

Hope to get these painted and into action soon!

Also arrived alongside the figs was an order from Caliver - "The Second Italian War of Independence" by Casali, a printed and typed booklet but one which is packed with detail, if in a somewhat rough copy. (perhaps it's time to reformat and reprint Caliver??). A useful book nonetheless!

There isn't much choice when it comes to armed citizens. Whilst there are guerrillas and militia and some pitchfork wielding peasant miniatures these isn't much in the way belligerent commoners out there. You've filled the gap for the countryside with your Picciotti, but what about the citizens who manned the barricades (and the barricades themselves come to think of it?) of Palermo? (Or Paris, Milan, Berlin, or a dozen other European cities from the 1820's to the 1870's)

Going to be painting my first figures pretty soon, just wondering if anybody can point me in the direction of some scenarios or ideas for scenarios. Any help would be appreciated  :)
I generally play large skirmish type games.
