That should be the battle of Calatafimi: "Bixio, here either we make Italy or we die!"
It's a nice illustration from a child's book for the Battle of Calatafimi....but the eventual caption from the so called "hero"  should better read "Bixio, either the Neapolitan HQ had accepted the gold from British Massons and give up the fight or we die"  ;)

Whilst it's not the traditional umpire's garb and those are quite unorthodox field placements, clearly Guiseppe was in no doubt that the batsman was out. Personally I think the flavour of modern game has been sadly lacking ever since they dispensed with mounted umpires and armed fieldsmen. Certainly their reintroduction would put 20/20 AKA hit and giggle in the shade. :)

ok ...ref forthcoming range I have  in my hands
the following figures

for the Garabaldini there will be 21 figures including Garabaldini
and Bixio

and for the Neapolitans I will have 32 figures ready
for both sides the will be officer/drummers/and standard bearers

for the Cavalry I have New horses made..in Neapolitan style/breed
and helmets for the dragoons are done as are other essential equipment

Artillery is also underway :D
