That's the one.  Like many in his profession, he was a jobbing illustrator that went where the work was.

You should of course dismiss the persistent but scurrilous rumours that the late Angus McBride also illustrated under the nom de plume 'Tom of Finland'. The fact that both seemed to have drawn great pleasure from drawing strapping, muscled, near naked men is mere coincidence and any homoerotic themes detected in Angus' work can be attributed to the subject matter or simply the viewer themselves.
