Gringo, no photos I am afraid! Only paintings like the one you posted (by Pietro Aldi, who also did one of the my favorite paintings ever, Le ultime ore della libertà di Siena - very inspiring for any wargamer worth his salt. But I can definitely post more images of the Palazzo Pubblico in Siena!

..a close up as portrayed in the film
the leopard  as I am having this constructed
in 28mm and parts of Palermo in 1860..i have
a fair amount ..but more inspiration is needed .

No Garibaldi but more Risorgimento from the Hall of the palazzo pubblico in Siena: this is the battle of Palestro, where the French zouaves hailed King Vittorio Emanuele as Corporal of the zouaves for his bravery



and this is the battle of San Martino

while this has got nothing to do with the risorgimento and Garibaldi but I could not avoid posting it - it's one of the milestones of Western art and it's in the next room...
