Some sepia tints of tonight's game.

Just a rough thrash thru the rules to make sure I like them, before continuing.

I did and I will :D

Not really any decent ones. As I said it was really a bash thru the rules to see if we were going to go with them.

One of my units only arrived back from the painters earlier that day and the bases were only given a quick splash to colour them.  The light in the club is horrible and yellow too, so not brilliant for piccies, hence the sepia masking!!.

I'll take some more at home when I get the chance, once they are properly based.

The Redshirts stormed the town in the first game and were only narrowly defeated by the combined musketry of all 3 Neapolitan units, (who still took heavy losses), in the second. I need another Redshirt unit and some skirmishers to fill them out and, by God, some reinforcements for the Neapolitans.

Ged - guns and cavalry please!!!!!!  lol

Gents and Helen.........im having a Laminated Painting Guide for the
period done, and dependant on sales, will add more. an example from
the painting guide (based on my figures) is a Neapolitan in "full" campaign dress a mixture of battle and full dress.......a mixture of pomp and
practicality

hope you like it
painted by my mate Ralph Weaver of the "Foreign Correspondent
magazine ..a fine publication

Nice image!

Interesting how similar uniforms were at this time period. Take away the gaiters and you have a Spanish Isabelio soldier from the Carlist War.

Are you planning to do any miniatures from the "early" Garibaldi period of the First War of independance 1848-49?

Thanks Ged, this looks great. Does the plates describe the backpack etc?

All the best,

Helen

Best wishes,
