Sorry to be the usual pedantic and fussy spoilsport, but before the misspelling catches on, please allow me to correct you:
the correct word is
picciotto, with an i. It means little one, it's a sicilianization (?) of
piccolo (little, small), which in Sicilian becomes
piccio or
picciottoCheck this out, it is also commonly used for the
mafiosi:
