Hi Ged, thanks for my latest order from you. Love the mounted leaders. Nicely detailed and look forward to seeing them dismounted in some distant future.

Sorry to be the usual pedantic and fussy spoilsport, but before the misspelling catches on, please allow me to correct you:

the correct word is picciotto, with an i. It means little one, it's a sicilianization (?) of piccolo (little, small), which in Sicilian becomes piccio or picciotto

Check this out, it is also commonly used for the mafiosi:

Basically if you want to have a bunch of irregulars I would mix Southern Italian costumes with a sprinkle of uniforms. The phrygian cap seems to have been ubiquitous!
