my axe is ineffective in the future.  NONSENSE!

But doesn't everybody use a chainsaw?

Seriously nice-looking terrain/board, but unfortunately the closeups do reveal some, ah, hasty-looking assembly.

...I guess that's often common with these sorts of laser-cut MDF kits?

Splendid looking board.

Hasty-looking assembly is common with lots of terrain, including the stuff provided by modern urban architects. We have some attrocious looking buildings locally.

Those pictures ARE of the "prototypes" assembled for a recent tournament for infinity.

That's why the small errors with hasty assembly.  Mousemuffins had to tweak some of the other designs for new stuff after it was revealed that there were issues with them.

I did chuckle at the continued use of hexes though.  Sci-fi=hexes.  lol

But hexes are the future. Check this out:

Apparently the hexes are not on the finished pieces they were added with a stencil in the painting stage.

If their Tactical Response Vehicle is anything to go by, they might offer the hexes as an upgrade to the basic kit though...

I really like this stuff, but the icing on the cake is that techno-torii gate.  Sweet stuff.

I'd love to know if the buildings have interiors that you can play in.

Judging solely by the look of most of them - I'd guess no.  It would also jump cost.  Some of the high-rise-esque buildings with interiors would end up being $250 a pop themselves at that size.  I'd be happy to be wrong though!  lol

Those don't.  Pretty much none of the CNC buildings have playable interiors.

The city was made (I believe) mainly to show off the new street tiles that replace the old city and urban grounds tiles (which are a full 12", not the 11" or so of the older series.)
