Very well done the colours are very striking, The shield is lovely free hand work, for a 2 capture warrior (the picture attached has the accompanying Hawk scratch suit and conical helm that was a requirement. This warrior could be in undress, a very heirarchical military system costumes denoted the number of captures of enemies in battle and even the wearing of sandal (a reward in iteself) when not entitled could be punishable by death.
This chap sports the "baby tuft" har style which denotes him as a novice warrior.
A cracking free resource is Chronofus pdf on shields and suits (Chronofus is a LAF member) which helped me along with the Heath book create my Aztec army back in the day.
