What type of orc do you like?

So what sort of orcs are people's favourites. I've probably forgotten about some really obvious types there but it covers the main ones I think. Pease feel free to comment on ones I've missed.

Anything that's not GW-styled.  I prefer pig-faced or human-esque.  Also, don't prefer them green.  Also don't like the miniatures to portray the race as complete idiots and dolts (ie. the inability to manufacture anything properly - ala GW orks/orcs).

I like the ogreish ones that fall between GW and LOTR. Some tusk, some browridge, but nothing too extreme. Also, I still like green, but I like them a dull, dark, almost-grey green.

This guy, in particular, embodies the style I like most. Sinewy, mean looking, almost crocodile faced. Feral, but not explicitly tribal. Great subset in the 80's range that I will put under the brush next year, without a doubt.


How anyone can hate on this is beyond me. Then again, haters be hatin'.

Hate to say it, but I like Green Orcs and I can not lie. Been that way since Dad bought me the Orcs of the Severed Hand box set from Grenadier. It was the first set of miniatures I ever owned.

I was always a big brow guy but have since gone away from that. Still like them but like other styles more.

Being a massive orc fan and orc player since I started this hobby (Gutbukkit being my orc alter ego) I like orcs of every description and colour. My favourite however are the Warhammer orcs of Kev Adams from the 90s, the orcs that I started with.

I like a few different types. The Lord of the Rings are my favourites en masse for gaming, but I do like the character of some other individual models for painting/skirmish gaming. I quite like the Avatars of War figures, some of the Confrontation range and love Imbrian Arts stuff - if only I could afford it. Pig face doesn't do it for me, strays into beastman territory in my mind.

Of the GW range, I really like the plastic night goblins (do they count as orcs?), not as keen on the big gorilla fellas, though having said that I do like and collect space orks - for some reason it works for me if you shoot them 40k years into the future and give them ridiculous big guns. I can kind of understand the love for the old metals, don't really feel it myself, but I do have an old Citadel/Marauder goblin in my collection sporting a moustache which I really like.

Confused? I voted man like in the end since that's what I use in my current gaming.

Late 80's - early 90's Citadel Orcs for me, with big jaws and scrawny ape-like bodies before they all became bodybuilders. Greenskins, but not necessarily green.
