I actually went and watched about a half-hour of Dudley Do-Right cartoons, just now, while waiting for one of the washes I'm doing for water feature terrain to dry.

I was just going to say that! The RCMP are just like any other Commonwealth member military or police force and wear rank chevrons point down.

No, seriously, very nice. A fine change off the beaten track of US-centric pulp games. I could imagine a lot of scenario opportunities, like illegal radium-mine prospectors, mischievous moose-poachers from Mars, pulp-fi prohibition booze smugglers (The Untouchables with rayguns) and the ever-scheming Québécois separatists' robot minions.
