Love it, I am doing the Math and deeply hope that Payday comes before the End of the Kickstarter, I will be all over this.

Well deserved and congratulations  :).

Pledge what you can, then wait for the pledge manager to get additional stuff if you are short on cash. I do that sometimes with KS if I have to save up or sell stuff off.  :D

That new monster worm looks jolly useful.

Backed for the rulebook, and hoping I can add-on one more booster. Funds are unfortunately tight at the moment. :(

Quick question: I assume the templates will be in the rule book as well, yes? I really want the acrylic ones, but I may have to wait on them, especially with the solo cards. As a primarily solo-gamer, those are gonna be a must have

The last page of the Rulebook will be a set of cut-out templates - rather a necessity now that we've included a proprietary size and shape.  I was hoping we could have them printed on a transparent plastic sheet, but the cost of including a single page like that is unfortunately rather prohibitive.

And do remember that - as Styx pointed out a few posts ago - you'll be able to add items through the pledge manager for several months after the campaign closes, so don't panic if you're unable to increase your pledge while the Kickstarter is running.

Good to know. I'm looking at a possible interruption of funds for several months, but hopefully that's not the case and I can add them later. And with the PDF and a transparency or two to print on, I should be tided over quite nicely if I can't.

Ah, good point - hadn't even thought of that.  And with virtually everyone getting a PDF included in their pledge now, theoretically an option for anyone with a printer.  Excellent!

The templates are planned as a general release, at least for direct sale, after fulfillment is complete on the campaign as well, so this won't be your only opportunity to get them.  Whether they go out through retail channels will depend on exactly how much stock we have left.

No, we're good.  I'm about 15 blocks south of the affected zone (we got flooded out last year as it is - a second hit would be seriously unfair!), and the Secret Lab is about 10km away as the Mi-Go flies.  The affected area is actually quite small, but as it's right in the downtown core it's affected about 5000 residents and over 2000 businesses.  Power isn't expected to be restored until Thursday either - ugly indeed.

I just used 'affected' three times in the same paragraph!  Either this Kickstarter business is addling my brain, or I need to consider a career other than editing...

Stretch Goal #7: Submerged Deep One - Now Unlocked!

This model nicely demonstrates one of the new terrain classifications we've added into the 2nd Edition of the game: Water.  Terrain features containing water come in two flavours: Shallow and Deep.  The deeper the water, the more it slows down models attempting to cross it, and the greater the risk that a crossing model will drown should they come to harm while still in the water.  Water features can also have a current, which makes traversing them even more of a challenge.  None of this bothers the Deep One though.  He and his Innsmouth brethren are more at home in the water than on land, making them Aquatic.  As a result, not only do they suffer no Movement penalties while in the water, they get the full measure of their normally random Movement instead of having to roll.  Watch your backs Agents - pelagic peril awaits you!  Might be time to consider some swimming lessons...

We've decided to start revealing our Stretch Goals a little further out, so two new Goals have appeared today.  After the previously announced Arcane Relics box at $35,000 (that one is a doozy - lots of cool new stuff inside!) we have free Grubs for the Beast and Conqueror Worm Boosters at $37,500 (they do have something to do with the Worm, really - we'll explain when we get there), and a handy set of pocket-sized quick-references for both Threshold and Lurkers at $40,000.

Stretch Goal time!  The Arcane Relics Box is now available.  Based on the rules we released a few years back through Strange Aeons Magazine (no relation), this set includes all four Relics plus the extra models required to use them, or spawned from them.  The Ether Beings were sculpted for us by our good friend Bob Murch of Pulp Figures fame, and will be cast up in translucent pink resin (an effect we've attempted to replicate digitally in the image below).  More details in the Project Update!
