Congrats on getting funded so quickly. Let's all hope that we will see many more backers :)

I did my duty as an acolyte and posted the news on EN World and Yog Sothoth.

I hope this will also be posted on TGN and TMP.

Thanks muchly Cherno!  A post should appear on TGN by the end of the day.  Unfortunately the turnaround from submission to posting for them seems to be about 24 hours, but I didn't want to send it in too early yesterday for fear it would get posted before we launched.

Another Stretch Goal falls at $17,000 - the Graveyard Box is now unlocked:

The keen-eyed among you may recognize the Banshee, which was previously a promotional figure available with the release of Shocking Tales #2.

I'm confused about the price structure. If I go in at the agent level I get $75 plus the rulebook, but that's not enough to buy two faction boxes. In fact, I can buy one faction box and then have $25 left over, but you don't really seem to be able to do much with $25.

If I don't want to do that, then I have to do the next level up, $250, which is way more than I need. What would be good is if there was some pledge level that would give me the rulebook and two faction boxes so I can actually play the game, but I don't see any way to do that. Wouldn't it have made more sense to have a pledge level with $100 credit so you can at least get enough miniatures to play the game? Am I missing something here?

You won't need TWO faction boxes... Although I can understand wanting them.  :D

The $75.00 Starter Box features both Threshold and Lurkers, so right there you have both factions and are playing the game.

You still have $25.00 left over to choose a Booster Box if you like. All boosters will be $25.00.

Right now, that could be more cultists, or Beasts... Either would provide lots of fun options for building Lurker Threats to match any Threshold team as they grow in experience.

If you went for the Innsmouth or Graveyard Boxes, then yes, they contain only Lurkers and you would need to build your Threshold list using minis you already own. Or perhaps the the yet to be unlocked 'Threshold Booster' will contain the combo you seek...

Yup, it's important to note that Strange Aeons doesn't feature 'factions' in the sense that many miniature games do.  We really just have two sides: Threshold and Lurkers.  Normally, each player creates their own squad of Threshold Agents (3-5 models) and advances through scenarios against Lurker forces built each game to match Threshold's strength.  The Starter Box features enough models to play both sides, with a starting Threshold squad (customizable as the player sees fit) and assortment of Lurker opponents.  Along with the Rulebook, that's all you technically need to play the game, though adding additional Boxes and Boosters will increase the variety of Lurker profiles available (or provide some alternative Agent looks to use, once the Threshold Booster unlocks).

Also, remember that there's nothing stopping you from pledging your own customized amount - the pledge levels are just a base point to start from.  For example, if you wanted the Rulebook plus two Boxes ($50 each) you could select an Agent level pledge ($110, with $75 Add-On Credit), but enter $135 as your pledge to cover the difference.

Plus at the end of a KS when you are picking your rewards there is usually an open to purchase additional items later, if in like my case at times funds are not there. It helps pledges that go, damm I am $10 short to buy X.....pay the difference and get what you want!

If you haven't feasted your eyes on our Kickstarter Trailer yet, here it is in all its Technicolor, Hammer-inspired glory!  I also got to dress as a cultist and run around with an ancient tome, so of course I'm gonna show it to people  :D

I just watched that on the kickstarter page funnily enough! I'm still tempted as I like the look of that Innsmouth lot. These are a little larger than, say Artizan, is that correct?

Yes, larger than Artizan.  The closest match to our scale I can find is Privateer Press.  I'm working on a size comparison image, which should be ready today or tomorrow.

It probably wouldn't matter so much with Deep Ones and hybrids though I guess?

One of the joys of most eldritch beasties is they don't really have a set size relative to humans.  Having them a bit larger than your humans actually acts to make the Lurkers look just that much more menacing.

That's pretty much my take too. That giant fish fellow looks brilliant.

He's an absolute beast, and for my money the nicest model we've ever offered.  I also love that his hand is at optimal head-crushing height...
