Knights of Avalon
« on: 03 October 2014, 10:37:50 PM »
Had a bit of inspiration and energy, so repainted four Reaper "superheroes" and cobbled together a flimsy background.

KNIGHTS OF AVALON

The UK has always taken great pride in “doing it yourself”, without intervention from Wonders and have viewed them with deep mistrust throughout the years, whereas both the US and the former Eastern Block have more than enough of that sort. However, in recent years there has been a change in the doctrine and unbeknownst to the large populace, a project was initiated and subsequently successfully implemented to deal with the threats of the 21st Century. For the moment the UK has only four Wonders at their disposal, but several other candidates are screened and trained as this is written.

The team Knights of Avalon are charged with protecting UK interests and also to stand as role models. They very rarely get involved in simple robberies and such, but will deal with a situation if a Wonder is involved. There are only four of them, but they are highly trained and they operate almost flawlessly as a team.

The most important thing in the hobby is that you're having FUN! Doesn't matter if you win or lose.

Great use of the Reaper generics and I love the very British background.

Thank you lads, IF and WHEN I get some time/ inspiration again I might expand the roster, have a couple more ideas. Probably would invest in a few other Reaper minis.

Managed two more Knights of Avalon but slightly miffed  >:(. I did them as usual, block paint, Army Painter Quick Shade and painted on acrylic varnish (usually Vallejo, but now I had to use Humbrol) and they turned up frosted as snowmen!!! Don't know if it's actually the Humbrol brand (never ever had any problems with the Vallejo) or the humidity, but a quick Google led me to paint on olive oil and that's why they look ok (in my eyes) but a little on the shiny side. Enough rambling, here are the pictures.

I would like to make  a sugestion here if I am not too bold. How about a companion character to the Jack B Quick: Jill B Nimble, a super gymnist/contortionist. Jack & Jill.  ???
