El Zorro - The Fox
« on: August 24, 2008, 11:50:09 AM »
I'm posting this here and cross posting it to the Swashbuckling board too as I am not entirely sure where he should go. I figure he belongs in both. :)

I have just picked up the Green for my start of my Down Mexico Way range of figures. The first is Zorro. :)

He has been scuplted by the very talented Matthew Bickley.

Matt is working on Zorro's enemies - Mexican Presidial Lancers at present. The dashing Captain Alforno, his inept Sargento Garcia and some regular troopers. All will have mounted and dismounted variants.

The greens should be ready by the end of september

To follow will be some Vaqueros, the dastardly governor and some American interlopers. The some more Mexican soldados.

I hope you like them :)

"Hope you like them?"

actually I do - they are very nice indeed. Not my period or location but I can see myself painting those up no problem.

I especially admire your commitment and enterprise - keep it up.

Old West? Nah. Geographically perhaps, but spiritually - Swashbuckling, definitely  :D

Can we look forward to a Catherine Zeta-Jones?  ;)

You're a Patron of the Arts, Malamute! I hope that someday, waaay in the future, I'll be in a financial position to take after your example and commission some miniatures myself.

Said Michael Douglas. ;D

Nice, I can see them going down well for LOTOW or the new Rattrap Western expansion.

Well, he does n't get it from his Dad! [Thought I'd get that in before anyone else, Robinson.] His mom says he must get his talent from her!

First I've seen of these but they do look nice. I foresee the lead mountain increasing in size.... Oh dear!

They have come up a treat Malamute - wouldn't we all love to be able to commission our own miniatures!

Can't wait to see these painted up and in action.
