Paul, the thing that I find most amazing is that You did these garage buildings spontaneously!

Man, to make them happen,  I need to plan my projects far (even years!) ahead and You just pull some sooo well executed buildings out of Your sleeve like it's nothing!

The weathering that runs down the walls is what makes them really special, perfect.

Wow.
 :o

I would not add any Graffiti as these are hard to bring across convincingly. Perhaps some tags?

Again tags, scribbles or graffitti instantly date the pieces as already said.

Leave as is, but make another 4 sets, this is exactly how I remember my Grandfather's garage/lock up in the municpal garage block where he kept his Hillman Hunter when I was a lad. Who now would keep their car about half a mile away from their terraced house in Dagenham in a lock up block!  :'(

Sad but true.

Anyway more please all very good!

;)

My initial reluctance to add graffiti seems to follow the group thoughts, so they will stay as is.

I will make some more at some point, but this block used up my last  pieces of corrugated roofing and was a bit of an impulse build.
I'm now getting back on track & currently working on 3 more buildings (& a side project  :-X), so likely not to post much progress for the next week or so.
Thanks for all the feedback, once again.  :)

The next building is another terraced row, but this time with a corner shop:

As with the previous terrace I will add the doors, windows etc after painting. In fact both terraces will be painted at the same time.

Before that starts I have to finish off the other 2 buildings i have started.  The first is a generic industrial building, followed by an office block.

Getting bored with these now...

 ;)

Only kidding!

Brilliant as ever. Love the attention to detail with the barred windows / vents on the rear of the corner shop...

Thanks for the comments. :)
Sorry I didnt reply earlier, but I have been away all week (No, not in the Geezers/Wormwood Scrubs sense.  ;) )

The shop frontage was made by cutting out the blue foam and replacing it with thick card, with another layer of card over that with the windows & doors cut out.

The edging (Green) was done with thin plastic strip.
The fancy bits (Red) were made from plastic tubing cut in half (top) & 2 side pieces of plastic card.

What sort of shop will it be ?
UK (& possibly other) readers might recognise this corner shop emp-p-p-p-porium  lol :

Not an exact copy of the building, but I hope to try and copy the signage.

I havent got one as yet, but have considered using Black Scorpions Churchill with a bit of converting: http://www.blackscorpionminiatures.com/product.asp?the_range=CS&product=CS6

Your suggestion looks spot on for Ger-Ger Ger-Granville though:

The pose & clothing are almost identical!  Now, where can I get a 28mm bicycle from?  :D

Churchill would be great only need a head swap and a broom on his hand instead of a cane. On Bicycles I think Fighting 15s do them but you would need to add the basket etc.

On another note, these buildings will be excellent for the Very Biritish civil war ;)

Expensive way to get a bicycle although the figure is attached to Mrs Pike .

An alternative would be .

I'm sure you could find a use for the Phonebox and maybe it would be possible to convert the dispatch rider to the 70's.
