Ignore zombies, too obvious & easy.

You've got a big hole in the board (the harbour) convert it to a hole in the ground (excavation site) and go for Quatermass meets the Jorvik Centre.

Or Dr Who.

Time Tunnel.

Quantum Leap.

Poll tax riots.

Anything but zombies.

Good ideas! Love the Poll Tax riot type scenario.

The harbour is ideal for all sorts of amphibious nastiness to appear from, so some sort of giant sea monster(s), hoards of smaller ones like the Sea Devils (Dr who again - got to be worth a try!), Cthulhu type beasties, Aliens after their long-lost crashed UFO, re-awakened undead pirates looking for their treasure which is conveniently in a dockside warehouse, Primeval-style anomalies giving the option of virtually any historical/sci-fi or even fantasy baddies etc etc....

Yes, plenty of scope for anything but zombies  ;)

Abingdon Wargames Club already have a resident DrWho fanatic. I always thought you'd pull off an excellent zombie game.

Or Uncharted Seas...  ;)

"Saphire and Steel" now that takes me back :) lol
The 70's was bad enough, let alone with Zombies, just imagine all that Polyester, nylon and gore, yuk! lol
:o  lol

Some excellent ideas there chaps.  8)
Quatermass & Triffids would go well with the Geezer setting, so quintessentially British and something different on the tabletop.  Dr Who is already at the planning stage, although there is unlikely to be much additional building required for it.

No, although I see what you mean.  :D  Its the result of slightly short trousers and me painting his socks grey.

the film was British... Howard Keel was just for the US market I think... the 80's series gets shown now and then... UK Gold used to show it before it became the Only Fools and Horses channel... BBC 4 showed it not so long ago... great telly... even now it's so atmospheric... must get it on DVD...

If you could crash a warship onto the dockside you could opt for an outing of the HMS Troutbridge crew from the Navy Lark.... the real challenge might be finding rules

Paul quite often makes up his own.
Or at least nicks other rulesets and tweaks them.  :)

For the record, I've read it, and I know who wrote it...

Day of the Triffids would be really cool. HLBSco make (or rather made) some fantastic triffid figures that would be perfect. I dunno if anyone makes them now, however. You'd need some figures for the blind, too.

I told you so. You damned fools.
