Paul, I'll add a link to Outpost in the building list over at Bazar of O.
Thanks for that.  I didnt add OWS to the list as I got the impression you were only after whole buildings, rather than frontages/sideages (I think I just invented a new word!  :D )

I just need to check if anyone is still doing Geezers? I was over at a mates house for a kiddies party and he show me  his garage., I had a major pang as he showed me a 1972 Ford Capri in stellar condition. One owner, 10000 km. I know those coppers in Life on Mars drove a Granada but the colour was that exactly same gold brown.

I really love the geezers terrain you've made, overlord! It's stunning!

I don't mind people dragging a thread up from the vault after almost a year, but two at once makes for a lot of dust...  ;)

I have come to this thread late, and would just like to add my compliments on fine work.

One thing I beg to know, where do you source the thin sheets of dense foam?
I have hunted around here but the thinnest sheets I have found are 20mm thick from a builders insulation material supplier...
The sheets you are using look to be about 5mm thick?

Cheers
Scott

I just found it; Depron, available to those in 'kiwi land' here:

I've just ordered some to start making Victorian buildings for EotD...

Glad you liked the thread.  I still haven't built everything I originally intended to, so I may resume posting additions at some point.....

The sheets I used were 6mm thick.  Mine came from B&Q, a UK DIY/hardware store.  Sadly they no longer sell it.  I still have a lot left from the original build, which I must put to use at some point.

Hey Overlord thanks for the reply. ( I showed your work on my blog - and creditted you with it, with link to LAF - hope thats OK)

I look forward to your further output for more inspiration!

Ah B&Q - I remember it well :-)

Interestingly enough, I was chatting to a mate here about it who said he'd originally sourced it from an art and craft store here, but that they had no longer been able to stock it as it was classed as an 'insulation material'. However when it has the card/paper surface layer as per 'foamcore', then its classed as a craft product and they can sell it! Weird!

Anyway I found a supplier - and it arrived in the post yesterday... lets see what I come up with... ;-)

Cheers
Scott

Overlord,

In some of your photos you can see the base board tiles you are using for a playing surface (gray).  What are they made of and how did you finish/paint the surface?  They look great for an urban game board.

Thanks,
Jason
