It's been a while since I last visited and followed that Camel. Glad I did it this time, great additions! The blues of the beduin camel riders look splendid and the casualty and hidden movement markers are superb as well. So all in all, you have earned your holiday :)

Love the mobile kebabs, mate.
They blend in so well with the rest of the project.

Here is my latest work - Bedouin casualty markers.  The figures are from Foundry and although not Legion specific they do the job well enough.

Close up here. Apologies for the blurry picture.

Lovely.
The basing is rather good and you are certainly becoming a bit of a master with that blue shading.

What a gorgeous build-up!  :-*

I always marvel at the tenaciousness some of you Brits display when sticking to a project like that for such a long period.

Your work is amazing. The terrain pieces are great and the painted arabs are awesome (really like the blue clothes)

They look great. I agree with the praise for your basing and mastery of the colour blue! Sorry if I missed it in a previous post, but what rules are you using?

Thanks Darrell

Thanks Paul, but you haven't seen them close up yet  :D

Thanks for the compliment.  As to the longevity that is simply a lack of time to get things done in a hurry and sheer bloodymindedness to finish the project.  Oh yes and having promised to run the game at BLAM this year.   lol

Great stuff Gary  :)

Cheers.  Not a Wadi but I do have a desert well to add into the mix and need a good 'Carry On name'.  Any suggestions?  ;) ;)

Thanks very much.

Thanks very much. I am using a very heavily converted set of Sharp Practice suitably loony enough to cover Beau Geste crossed with Carry On Follow That Camel.  Have a look at pages one and two for some ideas of how it works and the characters involved.

Very nice indeed!  :-*

Cheers.  More pics of the whole Bedouin Force to follow later today.

Next up are pics of the whole Bedouin force:

The Riff Cavalry

The Riff Infantry

The Tuareg Camelry

The Tuareg Infantry

The Raff Infantry

The leaders

The whole force together

Now just the remaining Legion (40 figures) to paint, a few extra pieces of terrain to finish off (Tents, a Well, a few rocky outcrops) and then an overall smartening up of the existing pieces and the last of the hidden movement markers (2 camels and some dust clouds).  With under 6 weeks to go this is going to be tight.  :-X
