Here are the completed Legionnaires.  First up a patrol marching towards Dayshalno Pass.

Supported by some in skirmish order.

Next a company in shirt sleeve order.

With two more companies clearing the town of Sidi Mar Gate

These are also supported by some in undress order.

Their brave leaders - from L-R - Sgt Knocker, Capitain Le Pice, Commandant Burger and Bo West.

And finally a shot with the whole force - Vive La Legion!!!

That completes all the main figures with just a few characters to finish off with.

Now all together - La Madelon pour nous n’est pas sevère, Quand on lui prend la taille ou le menton, Elle rit c’est tout l’mal qu’elle sait faire, Madelon, Madelon, Madelon.

Indeed!!
 :o

They have come out a treat, Gary.
It must really feel like all that effort was worth it when you see them all parading about like that.

Nice, quite nice indeed - though I did find myself asking, "Where is the mule company?"   Maybe not made in your scale.  Your rules of choice for the period, if I may ask - or you can task me to read the whole thread if already mentioned somewhere.

Darrell.

Thanks to all for the encouragement.   :) :)  Last few figures are on the painting table, part finished.  The terrain is all completed now.  Latest edition is the legionnaires encampment and some scatter terrain (rocks and palm groves)

Here is the encampment.

The Rocks

And I added a dome to the Mosque.

Thanks. The mule company is an aspiration will be added at a later date but not in time for the game in Oct.  As to the rules, they are my adaption of Sharpe Practice with additional event cards.  You can find the ideas, characters and sample cards on Page 1.  As for reading the whole thread, I leave that up to you.   8) If you do then hopefully you will be rewarded.  :)

Thanks Darrell.

Burning the candle both ends this weekend I painted the last figures for the game at BLAM.  First up are the Fanatical Eunuchs. (Who wouldn't be fanatical if someone had whipped your goolies off)  ::).

Then another leader mounted (of course) on a camel.  I present Mustapha Phagg.

He has a dismounted version - Mustapha Restt.

Hurrah.  :D :D :D

I also finished up the remaining hidden movement markers and a few camels to act as decoys.  That leaves just two jobs left.  The first is easy - Print the Character and Event Cards and laminate the Players Briefings and Quick Reference Sheets.  8)

The second is also easy - build the Fort facade.  However disaster struck like an unwanted iseberg in the desert. My local hobby shop has run out of 10mm foam. Hopefully they will be getting some in soon otherwise it will be very last minute dot com to produce the objective.   >:( >:(

I certainly don't want to emulate the Brothers Mac by painting the terrain and adding palm trees just before the game starts.  lol lol

Fanatical eunuchs, eh...?
Ouch!

(It also looks like you are going to beat me to the finish as well as I STILL have a building and a railroad car to build..... ::)).
