Don't worry, I had planned to bring the main fort along just for show, although it can't feature in the main game.  But it would be nice to get some decent photographs of it.  My phone camera just dosn't cut it.

Oh I intend to.  I am sure he will be amenable if I ask nicely... or buy him a beer. 

As you will know the game is card driven activation, whereby the card activates a character (player) who in turn chooses what actions he and his men will do.  A selection of the Character Cards are here:



The card backs feature  'Coops' in his drama personae 'Beau Geste' whilst the characters are drawn from Carry on Follow that Camel and other well 'desert' films.

Then there are the event cards.  Each player initially draws a number of cards to his hand and can play them on any activated unit (one per player).  The hand is renewed either by dice throw at the end of each game turn or a player can spend an activation to draw an additional card.  There are two packs on for the Legion players and another for the Bedouin.  The Legion pack looks like this with some of the event card titles showing.

As you can see the cards are a fun way of throwing a spanner into the exquisitely crafted plans of an opponent.  Hopefully they will add to the fun (and general mayhem) of the game without being a show stopper in themselves.

And we certainly got it!

Bloody brilliant game with a lot of good laughs on the way.
Even when your 'elite' cavalry are out-performed by a bunch of restaurateurs.....

Thoroughly enjoyed it and a treat to the eyes at the same time.

I got to be Sgt Knocker,  the Phil Silvers character from the Carry On film. The same thing happened in the game as happened in the film!

Well I followed the camel at BLAM and it was a lot of fun.  . As one of the Sheiks I made a token attack, watched my fellow sheiks commit their men, then went after each of their Harem girls.
