Any news as to when the printed version of the rules will be available? It's the only thing holding me back  ;)
...and what fresh new hell is this?

It's in premedia at Lightning Source. Once we get the proof copy we'll know whether or not its to our standards.  If so, the print copy will go on sale immediately and we'll make announcements.

That force roster has gotten me interested. Have you any classic rpg type monsters stats you could share?

We don't have premade stat blocks outside of the 13 sample force builds because giving all players access to all game options eliminates power creep and lets you build a dragon the way you think it should be, and I can build my dragon to my own specs.

However, we have certain Inborn Traits that can be used to fit most fantasy tropes. Stout is good for Dwarves, Graceful for Elves, Feral for Orcs, etc. If you can think it you can build it.

I love Mindflayers. I would build mine with the Abomination and Dominate Traits to represent their alien mind control powers.

We have certain effects that pay homage to d&d like the augmentation for the Natural WeaponInborn trait called Claw, Claw, Bite. We snuck a ton of these little easter eggs in their to help people create a 'feel' or style when building their warbands.

Haha got it! Love nod to ad&d with the claw, claw, bite trait.  Quite a sandbox type of game then! I like the idea of the different power levels of magic.

"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

We did the first proof of the printed copy and the standard paper utterly butchered the art and photos making the whole thing look awful.

We have resubmitted for the premium paper which triples the cost per book. If it looks right, we will sell it, otherwise it will remain a pdf until we can resolve the print issue sometime next year.
